Honestly the best the triangle has to offer in terms of Vietnamese food. That's not saying a lot but when I'm craving pho and I can't go home I order here.
Definitely would recommend Taste Vietnam, the service is prompt and the food is tasty. I ordered a large Combination Pho because it is one of the few places I've found that has tendon and tripe in their combination without meatballs. The broth was delicious and reminded me of my favorite pho place back home. Not sure how busy it gets, but I enjoyed it being on the quiet side with a couple of other tables filled. It's cozy and I'm glad I stopped in for dinner.
I've been to several local Vietnamese places, this was hands down the best pho I've ever had. The customer service was lacking, the one was grumpy and seemed over it. But the food was worth it.
I recently had the chance to visit Taste Vietnamese Cuisine for lunch with a few friends, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. Upon entering, we were warmly greeted and promptly seated, which set a positive tone for our meal. The menu offered a diverse selection of classic Vietnamese fare, including sandwiches, soups, and a variety of rice and noodle dishes. To sample a range of their offerings, we decided on Bún Bò Huế, Bún Thịt Nướng, and Cơm Dặc Biệt. The food arrived swiftly, and each dish was freshly prepared with generous portions. The Bún Bò Huế, a spicy beef noodle soup, was flavorful with a robust broth. The Bún Thịt Nướng, a grilled pork noodle salad, was refreshing and well-balanced. The Cơm Dặc Biệt, a special rice dish, offered a hearty mix of proteins and vegetables, and while all these dishes were satisfying, they didn't stand out as exceptional. It's evident that Taste Vietnamese Cuisine is dedicated to offering quality Vietnamese cuisine in an area where it's less common, and I appreciate their effort to bring these flavors to the community. If you're in the mood for Vietnamese food and are looking for a local spot to try, this restaurant is worth a visit! While it might not be the best Vietnamese food I've experienced, it's a solid option for satisfying a craving for this cuisine.
Delicious food. Friendly staff and fast service. Nice decor. We all had soups some more spicy than others and everyone was pleased. Nice portions. Will be back.
Best/authentic pho in the Raleigh-Area. Service is pretty quick. They renovated a little bit.
Summary: Authentic Vietnamese food, polite and helpful staff, great vegetarian options, easy parking and easy seating. Good for groups up to ~6-8. Taste is absolutely a place I will be returning to! Found it after another restaurant idea fell through, and I am SO glad we came here instead. The atmosphere is quiet and unassuming, but don't be fooled, the food packs an incredible punch. Food: The vegetarian options are plentiful and VERY well seasoned, no sacrificing flavor here! The veg pho had a powerful sweet/savory taste I think I'll dream about. The veg gyoza was crunchy and matched with a great sauce that I couldn't get enough of. My friend got the rare beef pho and BBQ shrimp spring rolls and concurs the flavor and freshness. Drinks: Standard soft drink menu + great selection of bubble teas! I got the milk tea with boba. It had a light and refreshing taste without the normal headache level sweetness of other boba tea i've tried in the area.
Everyone can find redemption. The pork chops with lemongrass were chosen by my best friend. I choose the pho with chicken. The BBQ Beef sandwiches were ordered by my husband and daughters. We all concurred that everything was delectable. The servings were substantial. Everything had a good flavor. Everyone responded unanimously with a score of 10/10 when I asked them to rate their dinner. PS: My daughter, who is a finicky eater, also said this. Well done Taste!
